Rally at the Indonesaian Supreme Court
On 12th of march, it is the anniversary of the Trisakati tragedy back in 1998. thousands of university students flocked to the street and surrounded the supreme court yesterday.They urged the institution to fully investigate the shooting tragedy of four students during the early reform movement in 1998. Student’s president of Trisakti University, Ilham Basari Putra, stressed that they will keep struggling to bring the justice to the families and to indonesian in general.”we are going to keep struggling, despite the fact that it has been going on for ten years now” he said in Jakarta,(12/5)
Based on those reasons he and thousands students are flocking to the Supreme court to address their demand to the Attorney General Hendarman Supandji, since there hasn’t been a thorough investigation on the case. ”we remind the attorney to re investigate the case right away”. the students also urge the government to have proper attention to the victims’ families. the students demanded that the government holds human rights ad hoc trial for the case.
