Astra Graphia’s profit up 54%
Publicly-listed information technology company PT Astra Graphia Tbk announced on Tuesday its net profit rose 54.1 percent to Rp 55.56 billion (US$6.17 million) in 2006 from Rp 36.06 billion a year earlier on an increase in operationalincome and difference of the rupiah’s exchange rate against the dollar.
Operational income rose 13.48 percent to Rp 619.03 billion in 2006 from Rp 545.46 billion the year before, according to the company’s financial statement submitted to the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
The company earned Rp 3.01 billion from the difference of the rupiah’s exchange rate against the dollar last year, after suffering a loss of Rp 3.04 billion a year earlier .
The 2006 profit raised earning per share to Rp 41.20 from Rp 26.74.
