Lapindo mudflow site attracts Idul Fitri holiday travelers
The site of the Lapindo mudflow that had inundated thousands of homes in Sidoardjo, East Java, has become a special attraction for Idul Fitr holiday makers.
A lot of Idul Fitr holiday travelers were seen visiting the site on Wednesday. Their cars and motorbikes with plate numbers from various cities including Jakarta and Bandung in West Java were seen parked on the road side near the Porong police station.
“While in Surabaya I and my family took the opportunity to see directly the local conditions caused by the disaster,” a visitor said.(*)
