New dental hospital opens in Jogja

Gadjah Mada University’s School of Dentistry opened a dental hospital on Saturday, which will cater to patients in Yogyakarta and the neighboring province of Central Java.

Minister of National Education Bambang Sudibyo, an alumnus of the university, officially opened the hospital, which is named after the school’s founder, Professor Soedomo.

The hospital’s director, Yulita Hendrartini, said 50 dentists and 54 specialists would provide services for patients.

She said the hospital would reach out to people in villages across the province through its assistance program for community health centers.

“We aim to improve the standard of health for all people, particularly their dental health,” she said. [TheJakartaPost]
